We’ve all seen people misuse tools, sometimes with hilarious results. Take for example this video of an alternate use for an iPad. When we use new tools with an outdated mindset we often fail to fully exploit the opportunities available. This problem is especially relevant for today’s digital marketing professional. Be honest, you have been guilty of this at some point, we all have. And as innovators create more and more game changing marketing tools to engage with audiences you need to “free your mind” from old ways of thinking if you hope to maximize results of your efforts.

Join us August 20th as SapientNitro’s Innovations Director, Howard Goldkrand, explores why we persist in using 20th century thinking and media models when using 21st century tools.

Glodkrand believes we are only starting to appreciate and exploit the form factor and dimensional thinking that is the defining reality of a networked, always on world where consumers move, shift and interact in online and offline communities rich in data and learning. He will share his thoughts and perspective on the earliest examples of dimensionalized thinking in marketing. From storyscaping integrated experiences to adopting social machines and connected communities, Goldkrand will define the new reality marketers need to comprehend and embrace with scale and innovation if they are to succeed.

Howard Goldkrand currently serves as innovation director for SapientNitro’s Toronto office. In this role, Howard is responsible for helping to define and redefine creative strategy through dimensionalized storytelling and brand integration.

Howard’s innovative vision for new modes of media engagement stems from his rich history of work across genres. He firmly believes that the best way to know the future is to invent it.
This approach, inspired by Allen Kay, has influenced Howard to harness the tension between creative strategy and technology prowess to help deliver ground breaking campaigns and thinking for clients.

Prior to joining SapientNitro, Howard served as innovation director and cultural engineer at Modernista!, acting as a catalyst for ideas that reshapes client business, company business and company culture. His imprint was visible on a variety of major projects including the rebranding of GM’s Cadillac Brand, the first ever pop-up retail show for Song Airline and an Emmy award winning creation of an alternate reality game for the 5th season of Showtime's DEXTER.
