Description: At the next MIMA Meetup, we’ll hear from Emily Shannon, Digital Director at Mall of America, about the strategies and tactics being used to engage with customers through location based social media monitoring. The intersection of people, places and media.

During this conversation, we'll share best practices and discuss how to better understand customers to deliver timely and valuable content. Learn how to deliver the perfectly targeted message in the most relevant time and place, and how to manage the constant feed of social data. What does it take to handle those checking in among the 40 million visitors annually? And best of all, meet a few new MIMA members along the way.

As a refresher, our MIMA Meetups are designed to create more intimate conversations (30 MIMA members, no more) around topics relevant to the digital and interactive marketing world.

 

Speaker: Emily is the Digital Director at Mall of America. She helps build communities, amplify brands and strengthen customer relationships using technology at the nation’s top destination for shopping, entertainment and attractions. Her talents range from digital marketing and content strategy to brand development and corporate communications. When she’s not crafting marketing strategies for clients, she is maintaining a personal blog, volunteering or shopping.
